Mine Permitting

In 2018 Solidus Resources entered into the preliminary permitting process with the Bureau of Land Management, Winnemucca District Office (BLM) and Nevada Division of Environmental Resources, Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation (NDEP). Major permits required for operations of the project include a Mine Plan of Operations, Reclamation Permit, Rights of Way, Water Pollution Control Permit and Air Quality Operating Permits. 

Baseline data was collected for the project area from 2019 through 2023. As of 2024, all data had been compiled in reports which have been reviewed and approved by the BLM and NDEP.

A Mine Plan of Operations and Application for Reclamation Permit and associated Rights of Way were submitted to the BLM and NDEP in February 2023. The document was deemed complete by the BLM in August, 2023, at which time the agency determined that the project would be analyzed under an EIS.

The NEPA process commenced with publication in the Federal Register in March 2024. Public scoping of the project was completed in May 2024.

The EIS was published by the BLM on February 18, 2025, and the final approval is on track for issuance in Q2 2025. All State permit applications have been submitted and are under agency review, with anticipated approval Q2 2025.
