Geology

The Spring Valley Project is located on the eastern margin of the Humboldt Range, a near north-south trending horst block. The range is underlain by the volcanic Permo-Triassic Koipato Group; a 14,000 ft+ series of interbedded volcanic flows, tuffs, and volcaniclastic sedimentary rocks.

The Spring Valley deposit is a vein-hosted orogenic deposit comprising complex and high-variability gold mineralization spatially associated with quartz-bearing veins. The majority of the gold mineralization at the deposit is observed with the occurrence of liberated gold/electrum, and hosted in altered Permian and Triassic volcanic and volcaniclastic units. Gold mineralization displays both stratigraphic and structural controls.
